We're on the lookout for an addition to our editorial team: an online publishing nut, people person and culture keeper who can keep an eye on the pulse of the gaming industry, identify talent and guide the growth of content creators in both article and video formats. - Online publishing experience
- Flexible schedules are possible, days, nights, weekends (Stay-at-home parent? Perfect! We're all about someone who has the skinny on being a parent and a gamer.)
- Excellent grasp of spelling and grammar
- SEO knowledge as applied to content publishing* Online formatting knowledge
- Understanding of the online games community
- Able to work independently and self-motivate
- Able to communicate reliably via phone, Skype, etc.
- Some travel likely (Events, interviews, etc)

Senior PHP Developer
Location: Manchester / UKIn order to support our highly-motivated team we are now looking for a Senior PHP Developer.
Your responsibilities:
- You will be part of a dynamic team, being in charge of the development and enhancement of our international team
- Modern project management using scrum
- Flexible development with continuous integration
- Automated, test driven development with quality assurance platforms
Your skills:
- You enjoy programming within a highly motivated team
- You love online (IP) games as much as we do
- You are skilled and experienced in working with PHP5 (object oriented development) and MySQL
- Knowledge about the latest tools and methodologies in software development
- You have already worked with PHP-MVC-frameworks ( Zend Framework) and TDD
- You have ideally gained experience in the area of e-commerce or the online gaming industry
- You have a basic knowledge in system administration (Linux, Apache or nginx, Memcached)
- You are interested in scaling high performance game websites, database optimization, web services (REST, SOAP) and reasonable employment of design patterns
- You are open to new challenges such as Extreme Programming (XP) and Agile Modeling (Scrum or Kanban)
